Digital Media Producer

The Digital Media Producer (Kindergarden to Grade 12) creates original web content in support of our divisional goals, products and strategies, and uses but is not limited to, graphics, video, audio and third party web apps. This role would mainly support our TeachOntario product, but also mPower, Homework Help, the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) and TVOKids. Your role will ensure that the content aligns with campaign goals and executes on a social media strategy around TVO editorial objectives.

The successful candidate will have strong editorial skills and a proven facility with the digital toolkit, including: video (shot & edited), audio, photography, written posts, SEO search oriented written material such as meta data and descriptions, html for building, high level of content management literacy in order to upload and organize the content and the backend of the website.  The Digital Media Producer must also possess the skills and understanding to use these tools to generate traffic to the website and develop community, using the social media platforms that exist now and may arise in the future.

The Digital Media Producer creates content for the website consistent with the site architecture and editorial and business intelligence best practices.  The work must meet editorial, intellectual and technical quality standards.  Work must be completed within a specified timeframe and resource allocation.  Initiative, independent judgment and creativity are required.  Guidance and direction are provided.  Work must adhere to TVO program policies, standards and practices.


CBC/RADIO CANADA – Yellowknife, NT

We are seeking an excellent writer and editor with a journalistic background who can produce effective, polished prose for stories published to Joining a digital-first newsroom, you will take a lead role in coaching and developing writers who also work in radio news, television and current affairs. You will also be expected to report and write stories as needed. 
Reporting to the digital producer, you will copy edit, vet, package and publish stories for presentation online, on social media platforms, or for radio and/or television programs. Candidates must demonstrate strong headline writing skills and experience in building multimedia-rich story packages. Your work will involve the close coordination with others within a multi-platform news team that spans three territories. 


Online Producer

Global Regina’s News Department is currently seeking a full-time Online Producer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be a proven journalist with strong on-air skills. He/she will work in a competitive news market with a motivated team whose newscasts are targeted at viewers in the 25-54 demographic.  Applicants will have a diploma/degree in Journalism and at least 2 years’ experience in a medium or large market. Applicants must also work well under pressure and be able to meet strict daily deadlines, and work co-operatively with others in a teamwork setting.


Social Media Producer

Radio Producer

As Radio Producer, you are responsible for producing a radio show for ICI Radio-Canada Ottawa-Gatineau. It could be either the morning or afternoon show. You supervise the work of a team comprising a Host, Associate Producer, News Editor/Presenter and Reporters. You must have solid knowledge of current affairs and the issues that matter to residents of the greater Ottawa-Gatineau area. 
You must be creative in order to produce a dynamic, relevant program. Highly developed leadership skills are required to engage your team. 
You must be interested in digital and social media to develop a strategy for promoting your program’s content. You must also be flexible to stay on top of developing stories and deliver the unexpected for your listeners. 
You must be thoroughly familiar with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. Your solid planning and organization skills are essential to the team’s success.
