Digital Services Specialist 

Reporting to the Manager of Technology, the Digital Services Specialist is responsible for providing support to eBOUND publisher clients as they digitize their books, manage their digital assets, and send content and metadata to online retailers. The Digital Services Specialist works closely with our vendor partners, service providers, and eBOUND’s Sales and Marketing Specialist to respond to and anticipate our clients’ needs.

Indigenous Reporters Program, Journalists for Human Rights — A First Nations reserve in Northwestern Ontario (communities TBD after candidates are selected) 
Community Journalism Trainer 

Each journalism trainer will spend eight months living in one First Nations community in Northwestern Ontario training community members in media production and engagement. The goal of this training will be to establish regular news programming at the community radio station, provide media literacy training to community members and train select community members how to report on and from their communities and get their work published in mainstream and Indigenous media across Canada. The journalism trainer’s role is as an educator working with Indigenous community members to assist in the development and publication of their own stories, not as an embedded journalist reporting from the community placement.

Producer Assigned to Digital (CBC North)

CBC Yellowknife is looking for a self-starter who loves to tell stories… all kinds of stories. The North is in transition.  We are seeing the effects of climate change, through crumbling roads and buildings. We’re seeing a rise in the rights and power of indigenous groups. And, we have lots of “characters”, who make great stories. There are good opportunities for learning and travel. Reporting to the Managing Editor of CBC North, the successful candidate will actively participate in the news agenda and ensure the quick and accurate delivery of breaking news to CBC’s digital platforms, including and our social media platforms. We’re looking for someone to help us launch our first podcast. As a host and producer, you will be involved in all aspects of the podcast production including conceptual, logistics, recording, editing and hosting duties.

This is a full-time position in our Toronto office. The start date is as soon as possible. All final candidates for this position will be asked to prepare a sample podcast to show us what you can do. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and execute all aspects of podcast hosting and production.
  • Brainstorm podcast concepts and ideas.
